Billy Solano is a seasoned technology executive, cybersecurity advisor, and author with over 30 years of experience helping businesses transform technology into a strategic advantage. As CEO of CMIT Solutions of Los Angeles, Irvine, Mexico, and South Africa, he leads a multinational organization delivering cybersecurity and managed technology services to small and midsize businesses across multiple regions.

Billy is also the creator of the Cyber Growth Doctrine™, a strategic framework that redefines cybersecurity from a defensive necessity into a driver of trust, market access, and business growth. His work and perspective were recently featured in USA Today, where he shares how cybersecurity maturity enables organizations to qualify for larger clients, meet compliance demands, and expand into new markets.

Billy began his career in 1997 with JDEdwards, where his exceptional sales acumen propelled him to Vice President and General Manager within four years. He played a key role in securing major clients such as Grupo Modelo, Coca-Cola, and Telcel, establishing himself early as a strategic business leader. His success led him to Accenture, where he spent a decade as a Partner, leading outsourcing and business development initiatives across Latin America.

In 2013, he founded Opera Consulting, a global SAP business partner, further strengthening his expertise in enterprise technology solutions. In 2018, Billy acquired CMIT Solutions of Los Angeles and expanded its operations into Irvine, Mexico, and South Africa, positioning the company as a leading cybersecurity-focused MSP. Under his leadership, the organization has earned recognition from the Calabasas City Council and received the Managed Services Excellence Award from Barracuda.

Beyond his executive role, Billy is the author of Cybersecurity Backbone: What Every Business Owner Needs to Know, a practical guide designed to help leaders understand how cybersecurity impacts trust, resilience, and growth. His second book, Maximizing Business Potential with AI, explores how small and midsize businesses can leverage artificial intelligence to drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

Billy is also the creator of “The Highly Effective Executive,” a methodology taught across the United States, Mexico, and Brazil, empowering leaders to align technology with business performance.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad Anáhuac México and a Master of Science from National University, with advanced studies in Business Performance Management, CRM, Strategic Planning, and Leadership.
